CUSTOM KITCHEN MADE FROM 100 YEAR OLD ENGLISH OAK
Bulmer's Cider Mills of Hereford, England, aged their cider in 60,000 gallon vats made in the late nineteenth century from English brown oak. After a century of soaking, the oak took on a rich patina with hues of red, orange, yellow and black. Each piece is unique. In the early twenty-first century, Bulmer'smoved their cider to stainless steel containers and retired their wooden vats. An American lumber company was able to reclaim some of this wood and Tongue in Groove was fortunate to procure some for our projects. While this wood is not for everyone, some of our clients were looking for cabinets that would be distintive and unique. This "cider oak" allowed us to deliver.
At Tongue in Groove, we feel that the search for the appropriate material is as important as the design and execution of the job. We are satisfied when our client is satisfied.
