Custom Kitchen made from 100 year old English cider oak.
After a century as the staves of giant wooden vats that held cider, this English oak took on a rich patina with hues of red, orange, yellow, and black. Each piece is unique. The varied palette created artistic opportunity but it also presented potential problems with continuity of appearance and design. While wood like this is not for everyone, our client was looking for a kitchen that was both distinctive and unique. This "cider oak" allowed us to deliver.
At Tongue in Groove, we feel that the search for appropriate material is as important as the design and execution of the job. We are satisfied when our client is satisfied.
